Our Campaign Priorities

As a progressive Commonwealth’s Attorney, Buta promised to always protect access to reproductive health care. When Glenn Youngkin and his MAGA extremist allies tried to criminalize reproductive freedom, Buta pledged to never prosecute doctors who provide care, or women who choose to access it. Now, she wants to go to Richmond and demand that our reproductive freedoms are codified into the Virginia Constitution, ensuring that they will be protected forever.

Buta Biberaj promised to protect our children in school. As the Commonwealth Attorney, she implemented treatment programs for mental health and drug misuse to address the root problem and keep kids safe and learning. She also supported providing Narcan to our schools to save student lives. Now, Buta is running for State Senate to advocate for funding statewide education programs focusing on drug prevention and treatment. And, she will fight to raise teacher pay and stand against any programs that will route public funds to private education entities.
